Canvas:
Bring a couple of canvases to choose from 11”x14”, 12”x14” and 16”x20” are good sizes.

At least one or two small sable, badger or mongoose brushes no. 0, 1, 2 or 3.

Solvent:
Odorless Mineral Spirits such as Turpenoid or Gamsol (better, but more expensive). (Regular turpentine is not allowed in the school.) Mona Lisa brand at Michael’s is not as expensive.  Bring a jar with a lid to put the solvent in.

Paper Towels:
Super absorbent like Bounty or blue shop towels from Home Depot (paint dept.)

Palette & Scraper:
A palette no smaller than 12”x16”. I have a glass palette so I use a window scraper or single edged razor blade to remove paint to make more room for mixing. I keep my palette in a sealable, plastic box (with a blue lid) made by Masterson’s. Glass is not included in this box so you’d have to purchase it separately (Banner Glass is a good place to go for your glass). Available at Michael’s.

Easel & Taboret:
Supplied by the school
