Palette Knife
Flexible metal, not plastic.  Arrowhead or wedge shape

Odorless Mineral Spirits (turpentine) such as Turpenoid (in the blue can), Mona Lisa. Gamsol is best, but more expensive. Regular turpentine is not allowed in the school.  Bring a jar with a lid to put the solvent in.

Paper Towels:
Super absorbent like Bounty or blue shop towels from Home Depot (paint dept.)

Palette & Scraper:
A palette no smaller than 12”x16”. I have a glass palette so I use a window scraper or single edged razor blade to remove paint to make more room for mixing. I keep my palette in a sealable, plastic box (with a blue lid) made by Masterson’s. Glass is not included in this box so you’d have to purchase it separately (Banner Glass is a good place to go for your glass). The plastic box with lid is available at Michael’s.

Easel & Taboret:
Supplied by the school
