Pine Blocks: Good quality pine (no knots). Sizes 1x4,
1x6 or 1x8 cut to size of desired woodblock. Example
4x4, 4x6 or 6x8. Dont make it too big.
Carving Tools: A small set of palm-grip wook carving tools.
The ones shown below are the best. They are a good price, comfortable
to work with, are already sharp and include a sharpening stone.

Sketch Pad: or paper of any sort on which to sketch out
your ideas.
Pencil and eraser.
Printing Ink: One tube of black (or any one color you wish),
no smaller than 2.5 ounces of water base block printing ink. See

Brayer: One soft rubber brayer, no smaller than 4 inches
