PENS: 

       TECHNICAL PEN:    The recommended size for a first pen is the nib size: 3 x 0.25.   It is packaged on a card. 1 package pen per student

        SPEEDBALL “ARTIST’S" SKETCHING PEN:   A dip pen with several nibs and 2  holders packaged on a card. 1 packaged pen for each student.

        SPEEDBALL CALLIGRAPHY PEN:  :   A dip pen with lettering nibspackaged on a card.

        FELT TIP PEN:   Water-soluable and non-toxic with a brush on one end and a point on the other end.  1 felt tip pen per student.

INDIA INK:   1 bottle

       INDIA INK should be labeled “permanent” or “waterproof”.  The best is Koh-i-Noor’s Universal Black India (3080), a versatile, high-opacity black ink that is free flowing, fast drying and withstands vigorous brushing with colored washes.

PAPER:
BRISTOL PAPER is a “hot-pressed” paper that is very smooth with a hard, slick “plate” surface that is excellent for pen work, pencil and charcoal. 

PENCILS:  1 each for each student.

       #2  EBONY 
       #2  CARPENTER’S
       #2 CHARCOAL  #2  or Medium Size
       #2  or  WOLFF’S B  CARBON  
       #2  or 3B CONTE PENCILS 

Most of these supplies can be purchased at most art and craft stores.
