Creative Brushwork Essentials

Paints: The paints you use: Oils, or Acrylics or the newer Watersoluble Oils, only if you have had experience with them (good brands are  Holbein Duo Aqua or Winsor Newton).

Palette:  Burnt Sienna, Naples Yellow or Cream, Cadmium Yellow Light or Light Yellow, Madder, Phthalo Blue or Marine Blue, Payne’s Grey, Raw Umber, Terre Verte, Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Yellow Ochre.
Burnt Umber, Cobalt Blue, Green, Lemon, Mars Black, Prussian Blue, or Navy Blue, Red, Cadmium Yellow Medium or Yellow.

Mediums:  appropriate to the type of paint selected
Non-Toxic Solvent
Containers to hold mediums and solvents
Disposable palette

Support Canvas:  large size canvas pads

Brushes: Brush basics including types and sizes needed will be discussed. Bring your own brushes used in your daily painting for the first class.

Palette Knives
Cotton Rags or Paper Towels

Most of these supplies can be purchased at most art and craft stores.
