Michael Beckner
Michael Beckner earned his Arts degree from Berea College in Kentucky and attended Virginia Commonwealth University for his graduate studies in painting. Beckner enjoys the painting process and likes to explore shapes and form. His stark and desolate urban streetscapes are painted in a loose, abstract style using minimal color and line. In his water scenes, Beckner introduces the human element, freezing his figures in a vast background to underscore their significance. |
