Have fun as you explore many drawing and illustration styles, traditional and experimental techniques as well as a full range of black-and-white drawing mediums and materials that will enhance your skills and develop character and style in your art work. These skills are used everyday by illustrators, cartoonists and fashion illustrators. Good drawing skills are needed for this class.
Session 1 and 5 – Learn and develop skill using the crow quill, technical and calligraphy pens to create line styles for illustration.
Session 2 and 6 – Experimental techniques will be explored including dry wash, wet- in -wet washes, texturing and monotypes.
Session 3 – A collection of drawing and illustration styles will be learned including montages, silhouettes, realistic/abstract and hard edge graphics.
