Ages 9-12+. This drawing course introduces students to the fundamentals of drawing in a positive and fun atmosphere. Oftentimes young artists feel frustrated because they lack the drawing skills to communicate their creativity. The class sheds light on the mysteries of drawing by teaching the basic concepts that are the heart of the art of drawing. The students will learn the basics for drawing objects, be introduced to the foundations of perspective, form and shading plus numerous other techniques to enhance their budding artistic ability. The Art of Drawing course goes beyond basic skills to dramatically increase the students’ confidence and ultimately provides them with tools for opening the door to their own creativity.

Ages 5-8. Young artists will observe objects and learn that "seeing
is drawing, and drawing is seeing". They will translate this process
to paper with emphasis on the relationship between lights and
darks and render a still life in line & value drawings. This class
will also study 20th century sculptors and go from 2 dimensional
to 3 dimensional art. Participants will learn the basics of sculpture
while creating masks, animal forms and more out of clay.

Ages 12 and up. Have fun learning to draw and paint in a variety of cool ways. First, learn pen & ink drawing techniques, the medium used by cartoonists and fashion illustrators everyday. Next, learn how to apply brilliant colors to your drawings as we study how to use pastels. Lastly, master some combined illstrative drawing and painting techniques that professionals use to create illustrations in publications and advertising.
